The 4th Edition of Aviana Uganda 2017 “International Expo for Poultry and Livestock” is taking place in UMA Show Grounds, Kampala Uganda on 24th and 25th October 2017.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. Uganda is the world’s second most populous landlocked country after Ethiopia. The official languages are English and Swahili. Uganda’s population is approx. 35 million.

Total livestock population is estimated at 12.8 million cattle, 42 million chickens, 3.6 million pigs, 4 million goats and 3.8 million sheep. It is estimated that 4.5 million households (70.8%) rear at least one kind of Livestock.

VMD Livestock pharma, in conjunction with their exclusive distributor ERAM Uganda Ltd participated in this pivotal exhibition of Uganda. Mr. Yawar Abbas (Export Manager) and Mr. Felix Moons (Marketing Manager) were with Mr. Edward Muhigirwa and Dr. Alice Banga team.

Dr. Juliet Ssentumbwe, Director of Livestock Uganda was the Chief Guest of the event. The visitors, key stake holders and the corporate sector praised the efforts of ERAM Uganda Ltd and was impressed with the VMD livestock pharma range and appreciated the efforts in improving the poultry industry of Uganda.
