Description
Animalintex Horse Hoof Poultice is a top-quality veterinary product designed to provide effective relief to horses with hoof-related issues. This highly versatile poultice can be used for a wide range of applications, including infected wounds, open wounds, corns, thrush, laminitis abscesses, puncture wounds, and stone bruises.
Made from a specially formulated blend of natural materials, including boric acid, tragacanth and improved cotton wool, Animalintex Horse Hoof Poultice offers exceptional absorbency and anti-inflammatory properties. The poultice pad is easy to apply and can be used as a cold or hot dressing and as a dry pressure pad.
Hot dressing
- Clean the area to be treated carefully
- Cut a piece of Animalintex that generously covers the area, put the rest back in the bag for later use
- Place the piece of Animalintex on a plate or shallow tray, plastic side up
- Use boiled water that has been allowed to cool to 38°C, and pour it around the edge of the Animalintex, DO NOT SUBMERGE THE DRESSING
- When saturated, take the Animalintex out and gently squeeze it out, the Animalintex should be wet, but not soaked
- Place the Animalintex dressing on the affected area, plastic side out, moulding it to the body contour
- Make sure the dressing is completely covered with a bandage
Cold dressing
Follow the same procedure as above, but allow the boiled water to cool completely before pouring it onto the Animalintex.
